Wir bei Diesel haben uns noch nie gescheut, Stellung zu beziehen, selbst wenn dies bedeutet, dass wir uns selbst zur Rechenschaft ziehen und unsere Geschäftspraktiken überdenken müssen. Die Klimakrise erfordert dringende Maßnahmen, und wir sind bereit, die notwendigen Veränderungen vorzunehmen, um die globale Erwärmung auf 1,5 Grad zu begrenzen. Im Jahr 2020 traten wir dem Fashion Pact bei und bekräftigten damit öffentlich unsere Verpflichtung, bis 2030 in unserer direkten Geschäftstätigkeit und bis 2050 in unserer gesamten Lieferkette keine Treibhausgasemissionen mehr zu verursachen. Wir arbeiten daran, unsere Auswirkungen in allen Bereichen zu verringern, von den Produkten, die wir herstellen, bis hin zum Betrieb unserer Büros und Geschäfte.

ENERGY & EMISSIONS
100% of the electricity used at Diesel’s headquarters comes from renewable sources, partly generated by our own photovoltaic systems. In 2024, we installed an additional photovoltaic system, tripling our on-site solar power capacity. Green roofs and energy-efficient design features have also contributed to the building achieving an A rating on its Energy Performance Certificate (EPC).
We are measuring energy performance across our operations and setting targets to reduce energy consumption and emissions, in line with OTB Group objectives. In 2025, 84% of the electricity purchased for Diesel’s offices and stores worldwide came from renewable sources and was backed by Guarantees of Origin (GOs), up from 72% in 2024. Over the same period, our sites reduced their overall electricity consumption by 5%.
In 2025, all electricity purchased for Diesel’s offices worldwide, as well as for its stores in the United States and Europe, came fully from renewable sources.
Diesel was also the first brand within the Group to obtain LEED® Gold certification for Building Design and Construction, awarded to its London offices, its store in New York’s SoHo district and its Milan showroom. In 2025, the Diesel store in Shibuya, Tokyo, also achieved LEED® Gold certification.
OUR PRODUCTS
We recognize that our greatest impact stems from the products we manufacture, which is why we have been working in recent years to improve the way we design, source materials, and innovate. By 2025, we had reached 41% preferential raw materials (see the “preferential materials matrix”) purchased, compared to 32% in 2024, while the use of preferred cotton rose from 31% in 2024 to 42% in 2025. Focusing on materials is one of the areas we are addressing to reduce our emissions in line with the OTB Group’s climate goals.
Furthermore, considering the volume of cotton that we purchase annually, in 2025 we joined the Unlock Program. The Unlock Program developed by The Fashion Pact and the consultancy firm "2050" promotes the decarbonisation of the cotton supply chain while advancing climate justice and easing the financial burden on farmers. It offers training and financial support to help farmers measure GHG emissions, report on their consumption and adopt emission-reduction practices. The program provides financial incentives (so-called “Unlock Units”) equivalent to 1 tCO₂e eachs; brands purchase credits based on cotton purchases in regions where the program is active, and can then offset their indirect Scope 3 emissions (aligned with the SBTi, CDP, GHG Protocol LSRG and Value Change Initiative). Over 80% of the proceeds go to farmers. By the end of 2025, the program had involved 20,000 farmers in India and the USA, and expansion into other cotton-producing countries is currently under consideration. Since 2024, Diesel has been a member of The Fashion Pact’s working group on this topic; in 2025 it purchased its first 317 Unlock Units to offset Scope 3 Category 1 emissions (Purchased Goods and Services) associated with all conventional cotton yarn of Indian origin purchased during the year, so supporting farmers in developing decarbonization projects.
